ZUT: The Colombian Leather House Built on Wayuu Craft and Embera Beadwork
ZUT began more than three decades ago in Colombia, the shared dream of two friends who loved elegance and craftsmanship. Today the house is based in Bogotá, where its leather, suede, and wool pieces are finished in its own workshops by artisans, some of whom have worked with the brand since the beginning.
Sustainability is part of the product. ZUT sources leather from goats raised by the Wayuu community and says it supports both the community and the care of the animals, while the Emberá people contribute the traditional designs, beadwork, and weaving that turn a jacket or a coat into a one-of-a-kind piece.
ZUT Sierra Jacket, butter suede fringeThe range covers women's jackets, coats, pants, skirts, shorts, tops, dresses, capes, vests, and sweaters, plus coats, jackets, sweaters, and vests for men. At Fashion Tastemakers the edit leans into texture: pony hair coats in tiger and leopard print, butter and mango suede with studs and fringe, and python-embossed leather in a halter top and flare trousers.
